Here are some troubleshooting tips to determine what’s wrong with your truck’s heat.
Low Coolant
The engine heats the coolant, and the heating system circulates it through the radiator to moderate the temperature. If the coolant is low or leaking, then you can lose heat in the cab.
Heater Core & Coolant Hoses
Clogged, worn, or leaking coolant hoses or heater core prevent coolant from getting through. Sometimes a replacement is necessary.
Heat Controls Don't Work
If none of these other issues seem to be the problem, it could be a control issue. They can get worn out after years of use.
