5 Tips for Testing Your Fleet Batteries

Check Connections

Check for any signs of corrosion or rust in the connection, which cause blocks.

Check the Charge

State of charge (SoC) shows the charge relative to it's capacity. Ensure it is at health levels according to manufacturer instructions.

Battery Resistance

All batteries develop internal resistance over time, which increases as the battery ages. Stay on top of it and replace batteries when needed.

Test Every Vehicle

Vehicles parked in the yard or shop, and those scheduled for a trip, should all be tested regularly.

What Works for You?

Use the battery testing method that best meets your fleet’s workflow and maintenance schedules.
