The driveline consists of a few parts, but as a whole, it’s an essential part of a safe and moving vehicle. For example, a U-joint has a maximum of just 0.006 inches. The up-and-down slip motions allow a maximum of 0.17 inches. Anything past those maximums will result in the failure of the part and damage to the driveline.
